‼️🫡 I just donated to help the family of EN2 (SCW) Nguyen Hung, and if you’re able, I encourage you to do the same. This issue hits close to home for me as a fellow veteran. We always say, “it’s people before equipment” in the Navy, and right now, one of our own needs that support.
EN2 Nguyen, who served with honor at ACB 2 and on LHD 7 IWO JIMA, was tragically taken from us. He was attacked and killed at a rest stop in Texas while traveling to start a new chapter in his life in California. His body is being held as evidence, and his family is struggling not only with the grief of his loss but with the immense financial burden of bringing him home to Vietnam for a proper burial.
Nguyen had dreams of becoming a Naval Pilot and was working hard toward that goal while enrolled in college. His family brought him to the States at 16, hoping for a better future. Now, they’re left without him and without the resources to give him the farewell he deserves. The Navy, unfortunately, does not cover funeral or memorial costs for veterans once they separate, which is why his family is relying on community support.
If you can donate or even share this story, you’ll be helping his family honor the life of a dedicated, kind-hearted man taken far too soon. Let’s come together and show that we’re still here for each other, even after service. Thank you.
