Fall temperatures mean it’s time to make sure no Veteran goes cold! 🍂Thank you to our friends at Warmkeepers for another fantastic donation that will go directly to keeping our Veteran clients clothed and comfortable all fall and winter long! Also, a big shoutout to our wonderful staff members Dennis, Lupe, and Jackie for coordinating the pick-up!

VMC is proud to announce the winner of the inaugural Jack ONeill Award to Mark Lynch, Business Manager at IBEW Local 98. This award honors the late Jack ONeill, a cherished member of the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) family. Jack, a Vietnam Veteran who bravely served three tours in the United States Army, embodied the spirit of service and dedication throughout his life. Beyond his military service, Jack was a pillar of his community, dedicating himself to various endeavors including his roles as a long-time member of Roofers Union Local 30, a devoted coach for over three decades in youth and high school soccer, and a VMC board member, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. Mark Lynch exemplifies what Jack stood for: community. As head of Local 98, Mark never fails to answer the call of Veterans in need, whether it’s donating Thanksgiving turkeys to hungry vets at VMC or providing necessary funding to help them thrive. His leadership at Local 98 has bettered the lives of countless Philadelphian families. VMC is grateful and honored to present the ONeill award to Mark Lynch in remembrance of the great Jack ONeill.

Every hero deserves a safe and comfortable home. Veterans Multi-Service Center works everyday to make that possible. October 10th is #WorldHomelessDay, a day to raise awareness of the needs of homeless people and advocate for homelessness prevention. VMC works to combat homelessness among our veteran population through our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program which will have permanently housed over 1,000 veteran families by the end of 2024. In addition to SSVF, our Edison 64 Veteran Community houses those at risk of homelessness. Help us end veteran homelessness by donating today- https://shorturl.at/mZlmj ❤️

Big hearts at Rivers Casino Philadelphia making a big impact for local Veterans! ❤️ Rivers Casino is officially the Lead Sponsor of VMC’s 2024 Golf Outing, with proceeds going towards comprehensive support for our vulnerable Veterans. They also spent their 2024 Rivers Gives Day of Service cleaning up our permanent Veteran housing facility, Edison 64, and assembling 300 care packages with everything a Veteran may need while getting back on their feet! The cherry on top: a pizza party for our Edison 64 residents! Rivers Casino has given an enormous amount so VMC can continue to serve those who served and we cannot thank them enough! #RiversGives #CommunityCleanup
