Today is National Voter Registration Day. As we continue into the second decade of National Voter Registration Day’s existence, the work of that mission is far from over. According to 2020 post-election U.S. Census data, as many as one in four eligible voters were either not registered to vote or didn’t know whether they were registered. No matter our background or political beliefs, we know that for democracy to work for all of us, it must include all of us. Let your voice be heard and get registered today. What role can mobile voting play in our elections? In the latest interview for our Re-Formation series, Todd Connor, CEO of Veterans for All Voters, sat down with Bradley Tusk, philanthropist, venture capitalist, political strategist, and author of "Vote From Your Phone," to answer this question. Bradley shares his political insights--having served in a number of roles such as Deputy Governor of Illinois and NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's campaign manager--explaining that it's ultimately the incentives, not the politicians themselves, that drive behavior among elected officials. In this spirit, he envisions mobile voting as a powerful tool to engage more people in the political process, eventually leading to better politics and policies for all Americans. This week, Charlottesville City Council unanimously passed the first read of an ordinance that will establish Ranked Choice Voting as the election method for the June 2025 City Council primary elections. This accomplishment is the result of advocacy and educational outreach from a broad coalition of groups in the region, including Ranked Choice Virginia, Veterans for All Voters, SERV, Virginia Organizing, and the League of Women Voters. Our VAV Virginia State Leader Nick C. is shown in the photo #veteransforallvoters
