Empowering Veterans with Patents, Copyrights & Trademarks.

About us

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the work we do at Veterans Intellectual Property, but I wanted to reach out and tell you a little bit about what we do and how you can help. We are a 501(c)(3) charity that provides pro bono patenting services to veterans, active duty members, and military dependents. We also provide legal advice on other forms of intellectual property protection, including copyrights and trademarks. Patenting is important because it allows the inventor to protect their ideas and inventions from being used by other people without permission or compensation. Copyrights, trademarks, and patents can greatly increase an inventor's chances of commercial success. Our work is important because it helps level the playing field for veterans and active duty members who have great ideas but may not have the resources to protect them. We are proud to be able to offer our services at no cost to those who have served or are serving our country. I’m wondering if you might be interested in getting to know us?

Want to give a shoutout to 16 service members of the United States Marine Corps from Bravo Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, who took annual leave in order to go out and support Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts in Western North Carolina. These Marines worked alongside soldiers and civilians in the Fairview area to assist in humanitarian efforts, tree clearing, road clearing, wellness checks and helping organize efforts both within the communities and between the communities and the military. They also assisted in offloading supplies, supply distribution, setting up generators and setting up starlinks. Good, shit. Give em one!

Shameless plug alert! It’s been an incredible experience representing Veteran Lifestyle Magazine as press at a major event like the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL). This past week has been a whirlwind of traveling, editing photos and videos, and wearing my social media marketing hat. Now, it’s time to sign off as I head off on a long-overdue vacation—one I haven’t taken in more years than I’d like to admit! Before I go, I wanted to share a picture I captured using my trusty Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’ve posted most of my content across all our social media platforms, and I’d truly appreciate your support by sharing, subscribing, and liking. Interviews are live on our YouTube, and you can find photos on Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, and Meta Facebook. Thank you for helping us grow! P.S. Teddy Swims is as magical as I hoped he would be. Being this close was a dream! P.S. Thank you to my "tech bestie" Selena Conmackie for teaching me the ways as I develop into this role. Follow us on our website as I continue to bring you more amazing content on what is yet to come https://lnkd.in/dXGzj6up 📷 MAJ (R) Annette Whittenberger

Comment DONATE to support LiboRisk 1. LiboRisk is a for-profit travel agency and retreat company 2. We custom-make every single trip. Meaning we do not spend unnecessary funds on third-party planners or vendors. 3. We plan trips so they're communal, which helps cut costs on lodging, meals and activities. This also helps in forming bonds/community. 4. Yes, you can donate to a for-profit. When we accept donations, we will inventory those payments so they are noted separately in our finances and will track with the intent of sharing this information to the community for transparency. 5. No, donations will not be tax-deductable. Many people expressed that they did not care about this as they have seen our work throughout the years and know the money is going to a good cause. 6. Why don't we just create a non-profit? Because, it's messy and overrated. Maybe someday, but not now while we are still slowly/mindfully growing. For-profit retreat companies have existed for a long time and we are completely within our legal rights to execute in this manner after much mentorship and guidance from others. 7. What will the donations pay for? Our retreats are sold at a very competitive price already, so we will typically put these funds towards our more expensive trips. For example, the ski/snowboard trip in Durango is still very inexpensive in comparison to other ski/snowboard trips, BUT, we could cut costs more. If we can use it to cover meals, transportation or activities, we will spread-load the donations, so each person gets a discount. If someone donates $1,000, then we could add a $100 discount for 10 participants and adjust their payments individually (again, cuz everything is custom and we are in control - not a third-party vendor). We also have a scholarship application that we could use to help cover majority costs to applicants in need. 8. NO DONATIONS WILL GO TOWARDS THE PAYMENT OF FACILITATORS. We budget this in and that is not what donations are for. They will be strictly used to support the participant's experience. 9. With our annual end of year review, we will add an additional section to provide you all the details of donors, donations, use of funds, etc. for continued transparency.
