It’s Friday afternoon and we’ve decided to stir things up, so what say you, internet: Are pet owners pet “parents”? Cue the hot takes! Gasps! Eye rolls! Finger pointing! 🤯 😱 🤭
Although no one seems to agree about anything anymore, the team at Nom Nom answered with a resounding “Yes! Pet owners 𝑎𝑟𝑒 parents!” 🐶
In fact, the word “parent” appears 5 times in the first 15 seconds of their ad - a brilliant #branding move for a company aligning the quality of their product with the look, feel, and claims typically found around nutritional children’s snacks.
Look away, and the audio won’t clue you in that these “parents” are of the “pet” variety until vets are casually mentioned at the very end of the ad!
Why? Because Nom Nom is boldly drawing a line in the sand, establishing their brand values early on to make a visceral appeal to their ICPs and weed out viewers who aren’t a fit.
Remember, #StreamingTV is about audience curation, customization, and engagement. The days of trying to be all things to all people are over.

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that we love sleep and none of us are getting enough of it. 😴
The brilliance behind this Coop Sleep Goods ad, however, is how they asked “the sleep question” on camera, got everyone to agree it’s important, and swooped in with their pillow as the obvious answer.
The Coop Sleep Good team then squeezed value out of the remaining 30 seconds by:
😃 spotlighting warm, authentic testimonials
🤷♀️ addressing critics head-on: “why is it important to have an adjustable pillow?”
📺 playfully demo-ing their product
👯 implicitly highlighting the diverse appeal of their product
😜 joking about their name for increased bread awareness
💻 making a soft landing with their url on-screen for 4 secs at the end
No snooze fest in sight!
