The Arlington Heights Fire Department is seeking donated furniture for a burn demonstration that will take place at National Night Out on Thursday, August 1st, at North School Park, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. If you have soft chairs, love seats, end tables/coffee tables, and lamps that you'd like to donate to this demonstration, please email firemail@vah.com.

On August 12, 2024, the Windsor Drive Resurfacing and Road Diet Project will be on the agenda for the Committee-of-the-Whole meeting at 7 p.m. in the Village Board Room located on the 3rd floor of Village Hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Rd. Village staff will review the exhibits that were presented at the November 11, 2023 Public Information Meeting and the March 11, 2024 Committee-of-the-Whole Meeting. In addition, Village staff will provide updates to questions received, and request direction from the Village Board on how to proceed. Beginning Monday, July 22, Ridge Avenue will undergo the complete removal of the roadway, as part of the Villages road reconstruction program. During this time, motorists will not be able to access Ridge Avenue via Euclid Avenue, and south entrance of the Arlington Ridge Center (ARC) will be closed. Please use the north entrance on Ridge Avenue via Elm Street. This project will be completed in two phases, so access to the ARC is not disrupted. The Village's contractor has begun painting fire hydrants throughout Arlington Heights. During the process, the fire hydrant may have a grey or white primer applied. We often hear from residents who are concerned that the "new white color isn't safe because it's not visible in snow," but don't worry! The white paint layer is simply a primer. Hydrants will be soon repainted their traditional red color.

The Arlington Heights Fire Department once again participated in Water Fights at Frontier Days, where community groups compete to win! Thanks to everyone who participated and we'll see you again next year!
