This year, we have over 60 vendors participating, offering a range of services, including blood pressure screenings, flu shots, hearing screenings, DMV services (by appointment only), and more! This position performs administrative and technical work in the fast-paced building permit review functions of the department; processes applications for building, and and related permits; schedules and records building inspections; interacts with developers, contractors, and the general public on related permitting and building issues. Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Chudzinski on his graduation from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command (NUSPSC). NUSPSC is an intensive 10-week program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions. The 10-week course focuses on critical command-level content such as planning and policies, media relations, organizational behavior, budgeting, resource allocation, human resources and contemporary policing through a combination of academic principles with practical applications. Chudzinski’s accomplishment reflects his continued dedication to our community and the high standards of our Lombard Police Department. Congratulations, Lieutenant Chudzinski!

🚑🔥 May 19-25, 2024, marks the 50th annual National EMS Week. This year's theme is "Honoring Our Past. Forging Our Future." National EMS Week is a time to honor the incredible dedication of those who provide life-saving services on the frontlines. The Lombard Fire Department remains one of the busiest departments in DuPage County, responding to 7,691 service calls in 2023. The majority of calls (6,051) were related to emergency medical services. The position will assist in the operation of the Communications Division to administer a program of internal and external communications for the Village. The ideal candidate for this newly established position will be responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, coordination, and communication of various economic development programs and goals of the Village. This position will provide support to the Village's economic development strategic planning efforts and will serve in an ombudsperson role with businesses and property owners and the Village’s economic development partners.
