Announcing our partnership with Duro! ⚙️🎉 Little-known fact: Duro was our very first integration! It enables Violet users to monitor clear-to-build progress, track build velocity, trigger purchase orders, sync mass properties to code, and more. As partners, we'll be able to deepen this feature set and expand how you can utilize Duro data throughout your toolchain. Connect with us to learn more 👉 https://lnkd.in/gnRR6sP4
About us
We are building Violet: the home base for your engineering team and the connective tissue for your data. Our vision is not to dismantle legacy workflows or tech stacks, but to better empower and automate them. To do this, we are developing the first cloud-based software integration platform that is truly purpose-built for complex hardware engineering. Violet features 60+ no-code integrations with software used across the hardware development lifecycle, from requirements to CAD to ERP. Violet aggregates and structures this data into a powerful engineering source-of-truth. Our team is founded by engineers with experience building spacecraft, drones and self-driving cars for DARPA, Google, Lyft, Boeing and Amazon. We're hiring! Join our team and help us revolutionize how hardware is built.

We had a blast co-sponsoring the Thank God for El Segundo #LATechWeek event with Sift! It’s always a treat to hang out with our partners and meet new friends - but we especially love the chance to support and learn from the incredible #deeptech startups in our ecosystem. From modular space infra at Planetary Utilities to carbon-negative power at Arbor Energy. Thank you to Sift, Duro, Goodwin, Quarter20 Inc., First Resonance, Navier AI, and to all of the other co-sponsors and attendees who made this possible. Cheers to many more 👏🏻 🎉

We're headed to #IAC2024 next week! We'll be presenting on our latest research with University of Arizona led by Joe Gregory and Dr. Alejandro Salado. Joe + team leveraged Violet as the foundation for an end-to-end connected mission analysis, which entailed: 🧰 Ingesting mission architecture and requirements in #SysML v2 🛰️ Fetching spacecraft components and performance specs from SatCatalog 🔗 Executing comm link analyses in Violet Scripts and Sedaro, and 📈 Verifying requirements using OML Stop by and say hello, or shoot us a DM to chat with Lucy Hoag, PhD or Alisha Zute. #MBSE UArizona Systems and Industrial Engineering Mike Marmar Barry Jones Brett Cope

Congrats to FH Salzburg students Maja and Noah on their successful internship! We are so glad we could support your #MBSE work. The Josef Ressel Centre student pair implemented a PLC-controlled color detection transport system, and they utilized Violet to create and manage the digital thread behind it. Violet was used to relate and track: ✅ Requirements defined in Atlassian #Jira 🛠️ Software and hardware issues in GitHub ⚙ Parts created in Onshape, a PTC Technology We're excited to continue supporting Fachhochschule Salzburg and the Josef Ressel Centre for Dependable System-of-Systems Engineering. If you are a university or research institution interested in trying out #Violet, shoot a note to hello@violetlabs.com. #DigitalThread #STEM #HTL #FHsalzburg #JRCDeSoS
🚀 Exciting Collaboration: HTL Students successfully completed an internship at the Josef Ressel Center for Dependable System-of-Systems Engineering and built a PLC-Controlled Transport System with Digital Thread Integration! 🌟 We're thrilled to share a fantastic student project where two talented HTL students, Maja and Noah, took on the challenge of implementing a PLC-controlled transport system. The project involved integrating Fischertechnik conveyor belts and a gantry crane, with Noah focusing on hardware connections and PLC development, while Maja developed a Python-based graphical user interface for system control. During their 4 weeks internship they also added a color detection to the system! Leveraging OnShape for CAD modeling and a 3D printer, they created a custom color detection station. The entire project was managed with real-world tools: requirements were defined in Jira by our DeSoS researchers, and Maja and Noah used GitHub to track software and hardware issues. 🛠️ Their work was also used for the ongoing research on digital thread technology. The tool Violet Labs was used to create a digital thread that connected the data from Jira, GitHub, and OnShape—just like in a real company's product lifecycle management. This not only resulted in a fully functional color detection transport system but also established a digital thread prototype using Violet! We're incredibly impressed by Maja and Noah's work and can't wait to see what they achieve next! 🎉 We also want to thank Violet Labs for the opportunity to test their tool! #Innovation #DigitalThread #STEM #HTL #FHsalzburg #mbse #internship #departmentIT #JRZDesos
