We are in "information overload" right now when it comes to the concept of artificial intelligence. Unfortunately, AI is kind of taking on a life of its own. One bright spot in all of this is there is so much opportunity if you can just cut through the noise... The team at ViQi is doing just that by specifically focusing on predictive AI and the value of machine learning to accelerate life science research, technology, and manufacturing! Our approach is to advance tissue and cell-based assays, leveraging predictive AI and imaging technology: from basic brightfield microscope images to mind-blowing tech like holographic images and everything in between. We'll keep posting updates as we learn new things. But give us a follow and reach out if you'd like to learn more about our approach to digital pathology, our advances in automated cell-based assays, and why we're excited about the future of AI. #AI #predictiveAI #biotechnology #digitalpathology #imagebasedassays

We want to say a big thank you to BioProcess International for putting on a great conference this week. We connected with so many people doing incredible work to continue to move the biomanufacturing industry forward. Shout out to Sue Behrens for her allyship and bringing attention to ViQi's technology. The conversations we had this week inspire us and validate what we believe: there is a need and value in bringing AI-based assays to the heart of biotech/biopharma manufacturing. Looking forward to working with so many of you to realize the potential. #BPIConf #AI #AIbasedassays #biotechnology

🚨 Revolutionary New Viral Infectivity Assay 🚨 ViQi Inc have developed an Automated Viral Infectivity Assay (AVIA), a breakthrough in viral research. Using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and both SYNENTEC GmbH's #CELLAVISTA and #NYONE for high-throughput brightfield microscopy, the AI-based AVIA detects infection phenotypes before they are even visible, saving several days compared to traditional methods. During the COVID-19 upheaval, it became clear that we need to better understand viral infectivity. This is a game-changer in virology and vaccine development - congratulations to these researchers on this incredible work! #Virology #ViralInfectivity #Research #CellBiology #Microscopy
Yesterday, we introduced the AVIA™ viral infectivity method developed by ViQi Inc. This breakthrough method utilises convolutional neural networks (CNNs) combined with high-throughput brightfield microscopy on 96-well plates. What's remarkable is that it detects infection phenotypes even before they're manually visible - and all without sample preparation! The team trained CNN models on viruses across the four major categories: DNA, RNA, enveloped, and non-enveloped. According to the authors, the sensitivity and precision outperformed traditional plaque or TCID50 assays. #AI #Innovation #TechInMedicine
