Dr. Michael Danso, an oncologist with a special interest in breast cancer at Virginia Oncology Associates, participated in a Breast Cancer Research roundtable with Touch, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance. They discussed how the death rate in black women is 40%+ higher than in white women and emphasized the need for more black women to be enrolled in clinical trials. Listen as Dr. Danso dives into the Victoria-1 clinical trial, a phase 3, open-label study evaluating Gedatolisib in combination with Palbociclib and Fulvestrant to SOC therapies in patients with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer previously treated with CDK 4/6i and non-steroidal AI. Gedatolisib is an intravenous dual PI3K/mTOR inhibitor that has shown remarkable response rates in early phase trials.
