    📌 Contactless, Cashless, and Data: Opportunities for sports executives. This is how our CEO, Gustavo Silikovich, experienced the game between the LA Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks at the Intuit Dome . Right from the start, he had two frictionless access options: → Face ID (the method he used) He didn’t have to stop at all; he just walked right in. Gustavo was impressed that they greeted him by name. A nice touch for the fan experience. 👌 Of course, there were screens informing attendees about the use of their biometrics, and by entering the stadium, they authorized the processing of this information. But here is where the real power of technology comes in for sports executives: More data means better decisions for the Clippers executives and new monetization opportunities for their sponsors. It’s a total win-win! → The other access option was via NFC (using a phone). Another key detail: There were no screens inside the stadium; they wanted to create and maintain the best atmosphere possible. And the VIP seats were a total luxury: They could adjust the size and temperature.     📌 Football is facing a critical problem! Injuries are on the rise, and costs are skyrocketing. Just a few days ago, Rodri, a candidate for the Ballon d'Or, declared: "We're on the verge of going on strike." Why? Because of the workload and recent extensions in tournaments: → Competitions are exceeding the threshold of 55 matches per season. FIFPRO Recommendation (Global Players' Union) The debate has reignited with the Howden report published a couple of days ago: → Cost of injuries: 2020-21: €424M 2021-22: €553M 2022-23: €704M 2023-24: €732M → Number of injuries: 2020-21: 3000 2021-22: 3202 2022-23: 3967 2023-24: 4123 → Other insights: * A new injury occurs every 92 minutes. * Severe injuries among U-21 players increased by 187%. This trend is concerning. These players should be at the peak of their physical performance, and the fact that they are facing more severe injuries results in longer recovery periods. In the Premier League, for example, U-21 players went from an average of 26 days to 44 days out. The traditional belief that young players recover faster than older ones is not proving to be true.
