I’m proud to be part of our team at Colorado Visiting Nurse Association who spent the day spreading joy and warmth. As a hospice liaison, I had the privilege of personally delivering holiday meals to our patients and their families. For many, the holidays can be a challenging time, and we're grateful to be able to bring a little extra cheer through something as simple as a home-cooked meal. It's a small gesture, but it helps create memories and moments of togetherness that our patients and families will cherish. I had the joy of facilitating a holiday ornament craft session at FOREST STREET COMPASSIONATE CARE CENTER with their residents in the dementia care unit. Engaging in the community is one of my favorite roles as a hospice liaison for Colorado Visiting Nurse Association! ❄️ Bringing Joy & Connection Through Creativity ❄️ I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with the residents at Englewood Post Acute and Rehabilitation doing a fun craft project! As a hospice liaison, it’s so important to create moments of connection and joy for our residents, and what better way than through art and creativity? We worked on a cute snowman painting and it was heartwarming to see the smiles, laughter, and stories shared as everyone got involved. It’s always a privilege to witness the therapeutic power of simple activities that bring out so much joy and engagement. A big thank you to the amazing team at Englewood Post Acute and Rehabilitation for welcoming me and allowing us to create such special memories together. Moments like these remind me of the deep importance of compassion and connection in hospice care.
