Integrity, unity, and investing in people. Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor’s philosophy seems deceptively simple. In his own words, let him tell you how he sees Sabah’s future. Do you share in his vision? Do you believe there is yet more he can do? Let us know in the comments.

“Everyone has hindsight, but foresight is what’s important.” That’s what Tan Sri David Wong, as Chairman for the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (BICAM), finds in Sabah’s Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Noor. The ability to look further into the future and act in preparation for the needs of the people… isn’t this what you want from a leader, especially from a head of state? Stay tuned, like, and follow us for more inspiring stories.

“Sabah Maju Jaya”. This forgotten slogan in Sabah’s coat of arms has been given new life under the current Chief Minister’s leadership, forming the basis of his policies to drive the state forward. Datuk Harun Ismail, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC): “A very progressive, focused man who lives up to the tagline and wants Sabah to achieve that.” Datuk Adzmir Abd. Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC): “A man with a clear mind and target that makes it easier for us to support the Chief Minister’s agenda.” Click in to the video and listen to the rest of their testimonials.

Sipitang. What Really Happened??? Sabah Forest Industries (SFI) went into receivership in 2017. At that point it had a production capacity of 240,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) for pulp and 144,000 TPA for paper, while its timber complex had a production capacity of 2,000 cubic metres of sawn timber and 4,000 cubic metres of plywood per month. It also had access to about 50,000 hectares of land planted with eucalyptus and acacia trees, a dedicated jetty with two berths for vessels with a maximum capacity of 15,000 deadweight tonnage. In 2022, the state government gave a new lease of life to the struggling entity under Sabah Foundation (Yayasan Sabah Group). This was to salvage dying trees and give jobs and livelihoods back to the multitudes of SFI staff who were not paid salaries for months. Here’s the real story.

"The Vision of Sabah Maju Jaya is the vision of our Chief Minister. That all forces should rally under one banner so that we become a progressive, competitive state that puts her people first. My Chief Minister’s instruction to us is simple and direct - 'I don’t want to see any Sabahans without a home. I don’t want to see any Sabahans without food on their table.'” - Datuk Haji Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai
