On behalf of the entire VISTE family, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of a Lakeland legend, Sarah D. McKay. We are honored to have known her and continue to be inspired by her extraordinary life and work. The McKay family has been supporters of VISTE’s mission for decades. Kirk McKay, Sarah’s late husband, was one of the original group of volunteers who had the vision to establish an organization to assist local seniors in need. Sarah’s daughter, Paula Mims, is a longtime Board member, and both she and her son Patrick are recipients of VISTE volunteer awards. Additionally, T. Mims Corp., headed by Tom Mims, has for many years sponsored the Red, White & Kaboom! Fourth of July event in downtown Lakeland and other VISTE activities. We are grateful to Sarah D. McKay for her leadership and compassion, and to her family for continuing her legacy and making the Lakeland community stronger and better every day. Working together, we are all volunteers in service to the elderly.

Kudos to Boring Business Systems! This energetic group worked diligently to prep and load groceries into cars for supplemental grocery pick up week. (They worked so hard we did not get a group photo!) VISTE and our elderly clients appreciate YOU!
