The Walsh team had a great time volunteering for the The Service Collaborative's Beds for Buffalo initiative last week! Beds for Buffalo crafts and distributes completed twin-sized beds and bedding to families surviving poverty. The project launched in 2018 and has since distributed over 1,000 beds across the WNY community. We are proud to lend a hand to this amazing organization that supports our neighbors.

Today’s member spotlight is the efficacious Cort Williams! Cort Williams is an Employee Benefits Consultant at one of Buffalo’s oldest businesses, Walsh Duffield Companies, Inc.! Walsh Duffield is a fifth generation family owned insurance broker that has remained a top five agency across Western New York for decades. In his role, Cort works closely with Business Owners, Executive Teams and Human Resource Directors alike to navigate the complex realm of employee benefits. Whether it’s providing technology solutions, discussing alternative funding arrangements, or simply making sure employees understand their plans, Cort and his high touch team at Walsh Duffield are looking to continue their growth as he approaches a year into his role. Before Walsh Duffield, Cort spent four years in New York City where he worked for the world-renowned payments giant, Mastercard. His time in both Account Management and Corporate Communications allowed him to understand customers needs and wants while working cross functionally to amplify successful partnerships and wins. In his spare time, Cort is a member of both the Buffalo Toronto Public Media Associate Producer’s Giving Circle and the Graycliff Emerging Leaders Board. He is also the JV Basketball Coach at Williamsville South High School (even though he was a Williamsville East graduate himself!) Join us in congratulating Cort on today’s member spotlight!

We are pleased to share that as part of the Andover Agent Impact Program, EPIC - Every Person Influences Children will be receiving a $1,000 donation from the Andover Companies' Charitable Foundation. We always feel great to work with a partner whose values align with ours - and we are appreciative of Robert Knightly and the team at The Andover Companies for giving us the opportunity to support such a meaningful organization in our community. We are certain that this donation will help EPIC continue to do the important work of supporting children and families throughout their lives.

The Walsh Duffield team had the opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo for today's United Way of Buffalo & Erie County #DayofCaring2024. The rain and the heat couldn't stop our Change Agents from coming together to help with the construction of two new builds on Buffalo's East Side. We discovered that we're all pretty handy... but more importantly, we learned about the great things that Habitat for Humanity does in our community. We look forward to seeing these two homes go to deserving families once they're completed!

We had a great time at last night's JPMorgan Chase & Co. Corporate Challenge. Along with our friends at John W. Danforth Company - we all got our steps in while enjoying great food, great drinks and great company!
