We’re proud to celebrate National Emergency Nurses Day! Since 1989, the ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) has recognized the second Wednesday in October to honor the vital contributions of emergency nurses. These skilled professionals play a critical role in healthcare, often providing life-saving care and support to patients during some of their most challenging moments. At Watertown Regional Medical Center, our emergency department nurses work tirelessly around the clock, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Their expertise and dedication are essential to our hospital's ability to deliver exceptional care. As a small token of our appreciation, we treated them to cupcakes today. Please join us in thanking our emergency nurses for their hard work and commitment to patient care. #EDNursesDay #NationalEmergencyNursesDay #EmergencyNurses #PatientCare #WatertownWI

A huge congratulations to Chris Kelsey, Med Surg nurse at Watertown Regional Medical Center, for receiving ScionHealth's 2024 Monarch Caring and Community Award. Chris consistently goes above and beyond in delivering exceptional care, supporting her teammates, and making a lasting difference for both patients and co-workers at Watertown Regional Medical Center. From mentoring new nurses to bringing comfort and joy to patients, Chris embodies the compassion and dedication that define outstanding healthcare. One example of the care she provides is when she went the extra mile for an elderly patient who couldn’t have his wife visit due to isolation precautions. Kelsey coordinated with the patient’s family to arrange a special anniversary celebration, complete with a telephonic reunion and cupcakes. Our 'Employee Activities Committee' organized another backpack drive, giving our employees an opportunity to donate to the Watertown Unified School District. Last year, we collected 35 backpacks. This year, we collected 46! All filled with school supplies. Thank you to everyone who donated. These backpacks will be distributed to elementary schools throughout the city and given to students who don't have one. #thankyou #employeeengagement #communitysupport #watertownwi
