  • Marty Mariott’s life is deeply connected to both Maranatha Baptist University and the City of Watertown, just as his medical care is closely tied to Watertown Regional Medical Center. Since 2009, Marty has received exceptional care for various heart-related issues, setting a strong foundation of trust, that has only deepened after more recent experiences due to congestive heart failure. During his most recent and serious episode of congestive heart failure, Marty was once again reminded of the outstanding care provided by Watertown Regional Medical Center. Upon arrival in the emergency department, Dr. Rodriguez and the nursing staff worked swiftly and decisively to determine his diagnosis of pulmonary edema, all the while ensuring Marty’s comfort and keeping his family well-informed every step of the way. The professionalism and personal care they received left a lasting impression, reinforcing Marty’s confidence in the hospital. Marty and his family continue to choose Watertown Regional Medical Center for their healthcare needs, consistently experiencing the same high level of care. "As a family, we have felt well taken care of and I continue to share my positive experiences with others, countering any negative perceptions about the hospital.” We encourage you to read Marty's full testimonial at https://lnkd.in/gJMZqC2y and consider Watertown Regional Medical Center for your own healthcare needs. #HereforOutstandingCare #thatswhywerehere #emergency #pulmonaryedema #patienttestimonial #watertownwi

  • We're proud to share our 2023 'Community Benefit Report' which highlights the impact we made on Dodge and Jefferson counties last year. Our primary focus remains the health and well-being of our patients, which earned us recognitions including being named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by Chartis and receiving Healthgrades’ Best-in-Class Awards for both Patient Experience and Patient Safety. However, the economic impact we have on the community is often overlooked. In 2023, we added 57 new providers, invested $4.9 million in hospital improvements, distributed $44 million in payroll, donated $10.6 million in services to those in need, and made a $16.5 million economic impact on the area. We also supported numerous local organizations and events, including the Bentzin Family Town Square, Rock River Community Clinic, Watertown Santa House and more. Reinforcing our health and FINANCIAL commitment to the community we’re honored to serve. • The BEE award honors and recognizes team members outside of nursing who go Beyond Exceptional Expectations (BEE). Our BEE award winner for Quarter 2 is Peter Richard, Lab. Peter works closely with all departments in the hospital, collecting samples from patients to help diagnose them and get them feeling better quickly. His life has been designated to service as he is also a Veteran. Peter was nominated for the BEE award by Jennifer Lemke, a co-worker and PCP in the Emergency Department. "I would like to recognize Pete for always being a phenomenal resource when we have a pediatric patient needing to obtain labs in the ED. Pete keeps the patients and families extremely calm and well controlled. When I have Pete by my side encouraging and supporting, I am more confident. Thank you, Pete, for your knowledge, experience, support, TEAMWORK, and most importantly THANK YOU PETE FOR YOUR SERVICE! I am very humbled and proud to say I get to work with a Veteran who always supports me to be the best I can be. Thank you, Pete for your Service, to the Military and WRMC!" We agree Pete! Thank you for being a resource for your co-workers and our patients!
