  • “I’ve always been someone who wanted to leave a positive legacy. […] I knew I wanted to do something that caused us to really think deeper about the world around us and question the attitudes we take for granted.” — Joel Bervell, Youth To The Front Fund Frontliner, in dialogue with Johanna Lenander Dive into Joel’s story as the Medical Mythbuster challenging the status quo on social media in Mission Magazine! #WeAreFamily

  • “I think it’s easy to look at all the complex problems the world is facing and feel completely hopeless. I’d love it if people tried to overcome this ‘analysis paralysis’ and had a bit more faith that small, everyday actions can make a difference — 1% of the solution is better than 0%!” — Ciara Judge, WAFF Youth Lead Delegate & Global Teen Leader Alum, on one thing she’d like to change people’s minds about Keep reading for more awesome insights from Ciara on changemaking, innovation, and leadership, and head over to the link in bio for the full digital issue of Mission Magazine! #WeAreFamily

  • On the Frontlines… The rhythm of Louisiana’s heartbeat: LIVE at the Library of Congress 🎶 What an iconic night celebrating and preserving Louisiana roots music in French and Creole with The New Orleans Foundation for Francophone Cultures, presented by co-founders Scott Tilton, We Are Family Foundation’s Youth To The Front Fund Frontliner, and Rudy Bazenet! For the exciting debut of “Musique(s)!, L’Album,” Grammy Award-winning Louis Michot and Leyla McCalla delivered a breathtaking performance, honoring Louisiana’s rich musical heritage at the Library of Congress. Our very own Jamie Roach, WAFF Global Programs Manager, caught up with Scott and chatted all about the “Musique(s)!” project, which will also include a book, exhibition, and documentary to form a contemporary anthology of Louisiana music in French and Creole. Check out Scott’s recap and pre-order the album dropping on May 7, 2025, @ nous-foundation.org! #WeAreFamily

  • “We reject the notion of ‘We’ve always done it this way.’ We recognize that this mindset has led to a climate crisis and a society where women still need to prove they can be leaders. We are driven to challenge outdated norms and create a more equitable and sustainable future.” — Angela Busheska, WAFF Youth Delegate & Global Teen Leader Alum, on how her generation is changing the narrative Explore Angela’s story at the intersection of tech and sustainability in Mission Magazine! #WeAreFamily

  • “If my presence can start just one conversation, that’s a win. If I’m able to change even just a few attitudes with my videos, that’s an important start, because even if I can’t get the government to change I can maybe change the way people feel about us and that will make our lives better.” — Electrazie Rajab, Youth To The Front Fund “The Creatives” Frontliner, in conversation with Johanna Lenander Check out how Electrazie is fighting for queer rights through digital storytelling and read the complete Mission Magazine issue online at the link in bio! #WeAreFamily

  • “[Understand] how to change the systems you work in, live in, influence, and enable, for the better! This also requires the courage to challenge and disrupt them in meaningful ways. It’s not easy, but it’s necessary if we’re to create a future where justice, equity, and sustainability are the norms, not the exceptions.” — Andile Mnguni, WAFF Youth Delegate & Global Teen Leader Alum, in Mission Magazine, sharing one way people can help Find out more about Andile’s journey reimagining systems and check the link in our bio for a digital copy of The New Order issue! #WeAreFamily

  • “Never before have young people had such a potent mix of technology, skills, knowledge, curiosity, and passion. They are no longer simply ‘the future’ — they are the NOW.” #Throwback: In November, our co-founders Nile Rodgers (Nile Rodgers Productions) & Nancy Hunt were honored to be the guest editors of Mission Magazine Issue 12, The New Order, celebrating the power of youth. Founded by Karina Givargisoff, Mission is the first fashion philanthropic media brand. Each bi-annual magazine issue focuses on a global cause, engaging socially-conscious readers through the lens of fashion to support important movements #ForFashionForBeautyForGood.
