Why do RTO mandates never center around the things people really care about, like escaping the never-ending pile of laundry? Or the chance to join a Zoom call live with 12 other people at a big conference table? Or it’s Fancy Cookie Tuesday? (We don’t know what that is because we made it up. But we'd probably fall for it.)

Is remote work dead? 💀 The short answer is NO. The longer answer is: While some companies are pushing for a return to the office, the reality is that remote work is far from dead. In fact, it’s evolving as a critical component of the modern workplace. According to a 2023 McKinsey & Company survey, 58% of Americans now have the option to work from home at least one day a week, and 35% can work remotely full-time. This shift isn’t just a temporary pandemic adjustment but rather a long-term change driven by both employee demand and corporate benefits. Productivity remains strong: Data from Prodoscore shows that employee productivity during WFH periods increased by 47% compared to pre-pandemic levels, dispelling the myth that remote work hampers efficiency. Retention and attraction: A survey from Owl Labs revealed that 59% of workers would be more likely to choose an employer that offers remote work, while 74% of employees say they’re less likely to leave their company if they have the flexibility to work from home. Cost savings: For employers, offering WFH options can cut costs. Global Workplace Analytics found that companies save an average of $11,000 per employee per year when they allow remote work at least half of the time. Health and well-being: Remote work also benefits employee well-being. A FlexJobs survey showed that 80% of employees believe remote work helps them better manage mental health challenges, leading to higher job satisfaction and lower burnout. While hybrid models may become more common, the demand for flexible work arrangements continues to grow. WFH is not only alive but also reshaping the future of work. So let’s all wipe off those gloomy faces and look alive!

Direct from our CEO Jeff Levick: "That’s the benefit of remote: You truly open up the ability to find the best people. That’s our view of what makes our business successful, and also what makes our clients successful, is that our job is to find the best people. We don’t care where they live."
