Defending the Defenseless

About us

Children are at the core of everything we do. Clearly children can't be vets, hence the immediate need to stand up a sister org to fund these efforts. The volume of kids we encounter in trap houses and on the dope track is horrifying. We don't simply try to take them away from their parents, we get them and their parents help, let them know they have options beyond living on the track, beyond selling dope, beyond being used as currency and fodder. We send teams of veterans and volunteers into the most dangerous places in America (and elsewhere), to save addicted and homeless Americans, sex trafficked women, missing and exploited children, and Americans trapped in danger abroad. We can only tell a fraction of our stories publicly, but every dime we raised gets put to immediate good use, as not one of our vets nor volunteers takes a check for going on these missions. We fight monsters. We fight evil. We fight things people don't want to acknowledge exist. Things people can't look at. Won't look at. We've been to hell. Walked it. Lived it. It was our existence. Some of us survived it because, at one point, we were monsters ourselves. Others happened to grab an extended hand at just the right time. But regardless of how we left hell, we remember the way out. We will spend our salvation going back in for those left behind. It's our duty. Our calling. Our purpose. Our mission. We fight monsters.

  • We are very much trying to accomplish BIG good in the worst corners of America. We NEED to get more monthly donors for our 501c3, if just a small percentage of our followers could commit to $10, $25 or $100 a month, it would allow us to plan better and move the needle faster in combatting trafficking on our deadliest streets. We’re shooting to raise $1k in monthly donors TODAY. That means we need YOU. Please pray on it and visit wefightmonsters.org/donate before the day ends?

Happiest of birthdays to my best friend, my partner in literally everything, the woman who has loved me at my worst and at my best. We were supposed to retire by her fortieth birthday but instead we started trying to save the lost on America’s deadliest streets and that’s work we have decided to NEVER retire from. Jess and I spent our first five years together destroying ourselves and everything around us, and now we’ve spent the last five years becoming the best version of ourselves for the other and trying to make this world a better place for all those in it. I could have never cherry picked a better “other half”, she completes me and helps shoulder every burden we take on, with grace and unmatched energy. For her birthday this year she’s got a fundraiser for We Fight Monsters to help fund our work on the streets OR you can grab a set of incredibly badass slate coasters she’s making right here https://lnkd.in/dV3uqgwM which fund that same work!!

These are the kinds of changes we are making out there - this man used to be homeless and hopeless after living a HARD life of crime and making a living exploiting women and selling dope. We met him where he was, at rock bottom, and helped him get to where he is today. We helped him find purpose and redemption in becoming a savior to the same community he once terrorized. We put a roof over his head and teeth back in his mouth. He’s helped us recover around a dozen women from a life of trafficking and impacted the recovery journey of many, many more. Every single apparel purchase from https://lnkd.in/eMtBjeig and every tax deductible donation made to https://lnkd.in/eqDrUW4V helps make miracles like this happen.

Yesterday began the most significant journey we’ve embarked on to date. Bigger than our work in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Haiti, Ecuador, Mexico, Lahaina, Uvalde, or El Salvador…by a wide margin. We have taken our mission to get Memphis, TN off of America’s Deadliest Cities List into a new era. We’ve shut down four narco trafficking and one human trafficking operation without making a single arrest or firing a single shot, through human connection, introduction of opportunity, and earned trust - not insignificant things. But the blood and sweat we now shed together mark the beginning of a new chapter in this work, we will move the first dirt and clean the first shards of glass on a facility that - like the lives we touch - we are going to renovate and restore to its former glory, only better. Our own treatment facility. South Memphis’s own trade school, its own community collaboration hub, and so much more. We need all the prayers and help we can get. We know we’re in way over our heads…but that’s where we shine the most 😉

“Reverend Ben” at the pulpit of an abandoned chapel in a hospital they’ve recently acquired a partnership in. Rubber meets the road. Starting a multi-million dollar renovation to turn the Home for Incurables into west Tennessee’s largest treatment facility - and they need tons of help. If every one of our followers threw in ten bucks a month of tax deductible donations to wefightmonsters.org/donate, we could get there - it’s gonna take us all and that means YOU!

EMERGENCY 🧨 pic of me and my daughters for attention cause I'm not using the girl and her kid - we got a survivor and her son. We just got her custody back. We got her an apartment and she's moving in Monday. Caregiver for the kid in the interim just dropped child off at third party's home unannounced and bailed. Survivor is unable to take child until Monday when she has her own place. We HAVE to get a hotel for the pair to keep them under one roof between now and Monday or they're about to be on the streets and she's not been sober long enough to attempt that. We are BROKE. WeFightMonsters.org/donate, we NEED help!
