We are excited to share that WEG Transformers USA has contributed a critical component to a significant local project! Ameren Missouri has announced that a $40 million power substation is set to go online later this year, enhancing the reliability of Franklin County’s electrical grid. We at WEG are proud to be a supplier for this project which is less than 10 miles away from our facility in the City of Washington, Missouri where this transformer was produced. IEEE members at WEG Last night we had the opportunity to host many of our industry colleagues at WEG Transformers USA in Washington, MO that were attending the IEEE Transformer Committee Fall meeting in St. Louis. We had a great night talking about WEG and our impact on the global T&D markets. The team had an excellent tour of our Distribution Transformer factory then capped off with a great dinner. Thanks to everyone who attended last night and as everyone was leaving, we had a ton of very positive comments about WEG and our business in Washington, MO. Thanks to everyone at WEG that helped coordinate this great night in our business.

Observed on the last Monday in May, Memorial Day is an annual day of remembrance to honor all those who died in service to the U.S. during peacetime and war. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, and volunteers place American flags on graves at national cemeteries. A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3 p.m. local time. Appreciate our partnership with Ameren Missouri & these recent highlights on their POWERforward Missouri page: A new substation under construction in Foristell, Missouri, will soon deliver more reliable power to the people of St. Charles and Warren counties. The substation and other accompanying upgrades are part of Ameren Missouri’s efforts to modernize the electric grid through its Smart Energy Plan. Located on Veterans Memorial Parkway at Route T, the new substation will serve approximately 2,700 customers between Wright City and Wentzville. Additionally, the new substation increases the electricity capacity in the area, allowing for new growth and supporting projects like a new subdivision under development in Foristell. The project continues Ameren Missouri’s commitment to using in-state suppliers through the Smart Energy Plan. Avail Switchgear Systems of Fulton, Missouri, manufactured four switchgears installed at the site.
