“Stay invested, stay diversified, and be conscious of unintended risks in your portfolios,” said Janet Perumal, Head of APAC and Head of APAC Investments, at the #MIGlobal Investors' Symposium in Hong Kong. Investors are navigating a tightrope due to macroeconomic headwinds like persistent inflation, tight interest rates, and evolving trade and regulatory policies. Janet, alongside Aaron Costello (Head of Asia, Cambridge Associates), Kevin Sneader (President of Asia Pacific Ex-Japan, Goldman Sachs), Howe Chung Wan (CEO of Singapore and Head of Asia Fixed Income, Principal Asset Management), and moderator Chery Kang (Correspondent and Anchor, CNBC International), shared insights on macroeconomic trends influencing public and private investment decisions, areas of resilience or compelling opportunity, and the impact of AI on business strategy.
