Small steps can lead to big leaps in advancing whole health and health equity. Last week, we at Wellpoint Maryland got to partner with Chris Welsh, founder of Impact Fitness Foundation, in installing a state-of-the-art fitness center at Washington High School in Somerset County, Maryland. To combat this pressing concern, Wellpoint New Jersey launched its “Take a Load off with Wellpoint” initiative. We are hosting events at laundromats across the state, providing free laundry bags, detergent, and complimentary access to washing machines and dryers. This initiative aims to alleviate the often-hidden burdens of hygiene poverty by offering essential laundry services to those in need.
