The WellSpan York Hospital ECMO program achieved the gold certification level from ELSO (The Extracorporeal Life Support Organization)! Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a life-saving treatment, offering the heart and lungs the vital opportunity to heal when they’re failing or too weak to work on their own. We are #WellSpanProud to be able to offer this advanced care to our most critical patients. Congratulations to the ECMO team on this accomplishment!

The spirit of a devoted WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital nurse lives on through the Kristin Runyon Memorial Scholarship.  💙  Kristin is lovingly remembered for her unwavering passion and commitment to nursing. Her mother, Barb, established the Kristin Runyon Memorial Scholarship in honor of her memory – created to not only provide financial assistance but also encourage recipients to pursue their nursing careers with passion. As a former hairdresser of 30 years, Tracey gives back by helping with wigs, finding the perfect fit for each person.  During our recent Breast Fair at the WellSpan York Cancer Center, Tracey joined our team of experts to offer her expertise, in addition to extending encouragement and support to others.
