Wendy’s FreshAI is enhancing the crew and customer experience with our new Spanish language capabilities now available across 28 Company-operated restaurants in Ohio and Florida. In partnership with Google Cloud, Wendy’s is embracing generative AI at the drive-thru to better serve Spanish-speaking customers, ensuring accessibility and convenience while ordering Wendy’s favorites. It’s official – Wendy’s has landed in Liverpool, England! Our newest Company-owned UK restaurant is located on a main route connecting Liverpool and Manchester, and it’s the perfect place for travelers and commuters to stop by for our fresh famous food. This highly anticipated drive-thru location features our new Global Next Gen design with a high-capacity kitchen, and it opened with huge crowds and record-breaking sales. We’re excited to bring our iconic signature products, like the Baconator and our world-famous Frosty treat, to a new community of Wendy’s fans.

We’re excited to share that Tingting Li has been promoted to Vice President, International Strategy and Business Development and Meltem Edin has been promoted to Vice President, International Brand & Advertising! As Wendy's International business continues to play a substantial role in accelerating the brand's global growth, strategic business development and marketing are significant growth catalysts. In the second quarter, our restaurants across the globe continued to deliver same-restaurant sales growth, with our dollar and traffic share holding steady with the QSR burger category. This summer, we had the privilege of hosting 17 interns, representing schools from across the U.S., both virtually and in-person at our Restaurant Support Center (RSC) in Dublin, Ohio. These talented students have spent their time with us working and partnering with teams across the business to help propel our brand forward. While focusing on individual projects, Wendy’s has also provided them with opportunities to build upon their own skillsets and support one another’s professional growth and development.
