🌟 Insights from Our National Piloting Activity in Brussels! 🌟 We recently hosted a national piloting activity with 15 participants and are excited to share the feedback regarding the quality of job listings provided during the event. The results were overwhelmingly positive: 46.7% of participants reported being extremely satisfied 40% were very satisfied 13.3% expressed being satisfied Only 18.2% of participants viewed the listings as slightly satisfied, indicating a strong overall perception of the quality and relevance of the job opportunities presented. We are thrilled with these results and are committed to continually improving our offerings to meet the needs of job seekers. 🌍 Key Takeaways from Our Multiplier Event in Brussels! 🌍 On September 25th, the Square Dot Team hosted a multiplier event that proved to be a remarkable success, primarily due to the rich networking opportunities it offered. Participants highlighted the dynamic interactions among attendees, panelists, and our host, which fostered solution-focused dialogues and the free exchange of ideas and best practices. This vibrant exchange not only allowed participants to connect with new individuals and organizations but also facilitated the formation of meaningful relationships. Multiplier Event, Oslo Norway 🇳🇴 The project partners arrange multiplier events to introduce the #weneetlabs project along with its main results and outputs to the relevant target groups. Oslo International Hub had their event on Friday 20th of September. Review of the results and conclusions: 🔹 Following the event, half of the attendees were motivated to sign up as mentors on the WeNEETlabs job and mentoring portal, while an equal proportion were inspired to register as either an employer or job seeker on the same platform. 🔹 We are pleased with the high level of interest and engagement generated by our event, as well as the ongoing discussions that have gained momentum on platforms such as LinkedIn. It has become evident that further promotional activities are necessary to attract a larger audience to our in-person events. Scheduling these events after regular working hours would be more conducive for attendees. 🔹 The participation of seasoned professionals and experts as panelists proved to be immensely successful, enabling us to expand our network and gain valuable insights into job market integration and the importance of mentorship. 🔹 The idea of providing mentors from the local start-up community and offering internships with start-ups was well-received as a highly promising strategy for facilitating the integration of young individuals into the job market. Providing firsthand exposure to the start-up ecosystem and the entrepreneurial experience could serve as a powerful catalyst in inspiring more young NEETs to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path. 🔹 Looking ahead, we highly recommend fostering deeper collaboration with start-ups and founders to create more internship and mentorship opportunities as part of the future development of the WeNEETlabs project. Additionally, they highly rated the availability of supporting documents, information about the project, and the meeting's content/agenda. 🔹 The participants gave excellent or very good ratings to the methods used for sharing information. They also highly valued the presentations, activities, follow-up links, resources, and topics. The participants felt that there was ample time for discussions and questions. Additionally, the collaboration and interaction among the participants received high ratings. 🔹The attendees felt that the event's goals were successfully achieved. They particularly praised the presentations, project introductions, and project outcomes. Moreover, the interactive sessions and the discussions received excellent ratings. 🔹 Participants highlighted the panel discussion and the diverse perspectives shared by individuals from various backgrounds as the most valuable aspects of the event. They found interacting with other participants and engaging in solution-focused dialogue with the panel professionals particularly beneficial. Overall, they appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices, make new connections, and recognize the significance of mentoring in job market integration. 🔹 The attendees mentioned that they learned more about the significance of developing soft skills for young job seekers, gained a general overview of the NEETs situation, received recommendations for potential solutions, recognized the importance of mentoring and coaching, and understood the significance of involving youth in startups. Many individuals mentioned that they recognized the significance of mentorship and felt motivated to seek out a mentor. 🔹 After the event, a number of participants felt inspired to place greater trust in their own abilities, seek guidance from a mentor, and actively seek out opportunities, especially within the entrepreneurial sphere. Oslo International Hub had their event on Friday 20th of September. Review of the participation statistics: 🔹 The event had 20 registered participants, with 12 attending in person. Along with 2 facilitators, 4 panelists specializing in job market integration also participated. The participants represented 13 nationalities. 🔹 Regarding age distribution, 15% fell within the 18-30 range, 55% were between 30 and 40, and 15% were 40-50 years old. Additionally, 15% were over 50. 🔹 85% of the participants were interested in expanding their professional network. 45% sought mentorship, 15% were looking for internship opportunities, 15% had recently graduated, and 10% were considering entrepreneurship. Furthermore, 30% were interested in youth job market integration and seeking support tools, 20% were coaches or mentors, and 10% were employers offering internships. Becky Wightman, Entrepreneur and Advisor Becky is a former lawyer-turned-entrepreneur who has been living in Oslo for almost seven years. She won the National competition ‘Hack the Crisis Norway’ in 2020 with an idea for an instant gift-giving app kick-starting her entrepreneurial journey. She has co-founded WAM and Syrenna, as well as the community initiative MyOneAmazingLife. Ndey Jobarteh, Project Coordinator, Sammen om en jobb Ndey is a Project Coordinator at Sammen Om En Jobb. Meryn Zumbo Willetts, Innovation and Inclusion Specialist, Umbrella Meryn is the CEO and co-founder of Umbrella.
