NewCold's state-of-the-art facility in Piacenza, Italy, now proudly holds BRCGS Storage and Distribution and IFS - International Featured Standards Food Safety certifications. “This significant achievement reflects our commitment to our customers to deliver world-class food safety management systems in our warehouses,” said Luca Quaresima, Country Manager Italy. It was a pleasure to host leading allocators and investment consultants from across the country at our Annual Investor Conference last week. Our panel discussions had lively discourse focused on a variety of timely real estate perspectives.

Fast-growing NewCold has officially opened one of the largest and most advanced cold storage facilities in the world in Lebanon, IN, - underlining the importance of the state as a food logistics hub. NewCold’s new state-of-the-art warehouse in Lebanon is highly automated. On-site proprietary technology includes four new patents. “We believe this facility sets a new benchmark for our industry,” said Bram Hage, NewCold Founder and CEO. “NewCold is at the forefront of innovation in the market. We are building a more resilient, reliable, and sustainable food supply chain to better serve our customers. This allows us to support their growth and strategic objectives - to better serve their customers.” The $300 million facility is among the largest, and one of the most advanced, in the world. Speakers at the event included Craig Weiss, Senior Vice President Conagra Brands, and Simona Ionita, Vice President FGF Brands. Both highlighted the close relationship their companies enjoy with NewCold. State and local government partners Don Lamb, Director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Tony Denhart Executive Vice President Indiana Economic Development Corporation, and Lebanon, Indiana Mayor Matt Gentry reinforced the positive economic impact and job creation resulting from NewCold’s investment. “That we are here today is a testament to the significant contribution and collaboration of many partners and stakeholders in the Indiana state government, Boone County, and the City of Lebanon,” noted Jonas Swarttouw, Executive Vice President, and Chairman of NewCold in North America.
