This Thursday is #WorldMentalHealthDay, with the 2024 theme focusing on prioritizing mental health in the workplace. Approximately 1 in 5 employees face mental health challenges, yet only 25% receive the support they need. We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. Some of the ways we support our employees' mental health include; · A Wellness Room: A peaceful space to help employees recharge and refocus during the workday, equipped with items like coloring books, yoga mats, career development books, stretching cards and a sound machine. · Employee Assistance Program: Access to confidential counseling services and resources to support mental health challenges, no matter how big or small. · Supportive Environment: We understand that life can be challenging. That’s why we encourage a culture that values work-life balance, flexible schedules, and putting family first when needed, to help our team manage their personal and professional lives. · Wellness Challenges: Team-based activities that promote physical activity, mindfulness, and healthy habits. This weekend, thousands of people will unite with a single mission: To End Cancer.   Yesterday, we celebrated our 26 White Oak Pelotonia participants with a send-off party, recognizing their dedication to challenger goals, training rides, and impressive fundraising. Our Peloton - consisting of 19 riders - is set to conquer a 30-mile route in New Albany on Sunday, while others will bravely take on the 100-mile ride Saturday. The support from our industry partners, fellow coworkers, family, and friends has been overwhelming. Thanks to your generous donations we’ve hit the $77K mark, surpassing last year’s record and bringing us closer to our $100K goal this year.   As we hit the road for Pelotonia this weekend, we draw inspiration from those in our lives who have battled against cancer. We are proud to be a part of this incredible community dedicated to finding a cure. Good luck to all the riders out there this weekend, we are excited to make an impact! Over the past few weeks, our Peloton has come together for several group training rides in anticipation of the upcoming Pelotonia ride this weekend. United by our mission to help end cancer, our team has been pushing their limits for this vital cause, knowing that each mile pedaled gets us closer to a cure. Pelotonia is a community passionate about ending cancer, where 100% of every dollar raised funds groundbreaking cancer research. Last year, we spent time channeling our inner artist decorating cards and gift bags for cancer patients during their hospital stays. The smiles and sense of community we hope it brought to the patients at The James Cancer Hospital and Nationwide Children's Hospital inspired us to tap into our artistic talents once again this year.   Over the past two weeks, we poured our creativity into decorating 41 cards for the children at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and 38 gift bags for patients at The James. We hope that our words of encouragement and colorful, cheerful art bring comfort and support to those facing such a challenging journey. #endcancer #communitysupport #teamcreativity

Last week, Carl Whitaker and Dustin Weaver from RealPage, Inc. presented an insightful Lunch & Learn session at White Oak on the Current State of the Multifamily Market. During the presentation, Carl highlighted that job growth remains strong despite economic uncertainties, thus driving multifamily demand to record levels, with 1Q24 marking the highest 1Q absorption ever (typically a slow leasing period). He touched on supply stress, remarking that annual deliveries have reached the highest level since 1986, but dwindling construction starts suggest once we are through peak deliveries, there will be less competition for residents from new units. He also covered recent resident trends driven by the influx of new supply and the unique opportunity for residents to upgrade from Class C to B and from Class B to A. Carl suggested that despite high interest rates, given the strong multifamily demand, resilient economic drivers, peak supply deliveries, and stabilized occupancy, the market shows signs of slowly emerging optimism. Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting a blood drive with Versiti Blood Center of Ohio. 12 units were donated—with a single blood donor capable of saving 3 lives—36 lives were saved! Donated blood supports urgent medical situations, surgeries, anemia, cancer, and blood disease patients.   Donating blood is a uniquely impactful act of kindness.
