This week’s #NurseDayThursday is Jennifer Kelly, RN, from our PCU! Jennifer is proud to have followed in her older sister and best friend's footsteps in choosing a career that allows her to help others. She joined White Plains Hospital in 2019 as a Nurse Associate in the Emergency Department, and was a nurse tech before joining full-time after her graduation from nursing school. Jennifer finds true meaning in building relationships with her patients and their families, and says that the Hospital’s close-knit community feel and collaborative nursing culture make it a special place to call her professional home. “My co-workers and I always strive to make each other better nurses every day,” she shares. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and today is #PregnancyandInfantLossRemembranceDay. Last week, White Plains Hospital's Perinatal Support Team hosted its 35th annual memorial. Together, we reflected on the beautiful lives that were created and their families who love them so much. On this day and always, we will carry in our hearts all of the precious lives that have been lost, along with their parents and loved ones.
