One of the biggest issues in law schools (and academia) right now is students passing off AI-generated content as their own work. Wickard just released a solution. Currently, it's impossible to accurately and reliably detect AI-generated content in writing. And even if it it were possible, students can simply reword aspects of AI-generated content to bypass "AI detectors" Based on the premises that (1) existing AI "detection" tools are not reliable, and (2) students will inevitably use AI in their assignments (verbatim, as an assistant, or to produce a full assignment and then simply reword), Wickard believes the fundamental question then becomes: does the student actually understand the work product that they created and submitted, i.e., has the student learned from the assignment? With this focus in mind, Wickard developed an AI-powered (and patent-pending) system, GunnersAI, that converts a student's submitted assignment into a quick, timed knowledge assessment (quiz) to test a student's knowledge of the contents of their own paper. If the student passes the assessment, then they understand their own paper and have learned from the assignment. If the student cannot pass an assessment about their own paper, then they either (1) likely did not write it (used AI, or another person wrote it), or (2) they wrote a paper but did not actually learn/comprehend the subject matter. At its core, GunnersAI tests whether students are actually learning over the course of a written assignment. Interested in trying it out? What is Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)? ✨ RAG is an important framework for today’s genAI, as it helps Large Language Models (LLMs) with data retrieval. RAG is also an integral part of Wickard’s AI infrastructure. Here are some quick notes about how it improves LLMs: RAG improves the responses of LLMs by supplementing the model with more information that makes responses more reliable. RAG gives users the ability to see which sources the AI used to gather information. RAG reduces data leaks, sensitive or misleading information, and hallucinations. RAG lowers computational and financial costs, as it requires less continuous training by users. To learn more, check out this short article: https://lnkd.in/e4dcdewv #RAG #genAI #AIeducation #LLM
