While this can be related to personality, technology certainly isn’t helping those with this mindset. Technology has given us all instant gratification in so many ways, and it is unfortunately harming our growth. It’s okay to be bad at something when you first start out. What do you want to be known for? As a leader, you set the standard for how your business or team is perceived by others. Talk to your team about what you want to be known for so everyone is on the same page. Make a list of attributes that are important to each of you and work on communicating and modeling those attributes together. Ultimately, it’s up to you as the leader to set the standard for your team, but they can’t know what the standard is if you don’t help them understand it.
