What a spooooky night our Lenexa team had during our annual Trunk or Treat! It’s a bootiful sight to see everyone’s unique design in each decorated trunk. From Minecraft ⛏️, to Mario 🎈, to underwater 🪼, there was no shortage of creativity in this crew! Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful night happen. 💚 We can’t wait to see how our Littleton Clinic’s Trunk or Treat goes this coming Wednesday. 🌟Employee Spotlight! 🌟 This month we are introducing one of our Wilmington RBTs, Gracie! Get to know Gracie…”I am a junior at UNCW and am planning on continuing to get my masters in ABA. I have always wanted to work with kids with special needs and the second I stepped foot in Willow I realized exactly what I want to do with my life. I fell in love with ABA the second I first started working under Katie. Working with these kids is so rewarding and is truly my passion. Katie has taught me so much in my time here and I aspire to be like her when I become a BCBA.” From her team… Gracie shows up for her clients everyday, and it is truly special seeing the relationships that she has formed with each of her clients! She is always looking for ways to learn and grow to become a better RBT, is an exceptional team member, and is always ready to jump in and help out where she can. From cozy PJs to wild socks, it was heartwarming to see everyone come together in such a fun way! Here’s a little glimpse into our week: Pajama Day: Nothing beats the comfort of hanging out in our favorite PJs! 💤 Crazy Sock Day: We love the rare sighting of llama socks! 🦙 Show and Tell Day: Our kiddos shared their favorite treasures, and “pets”. 🥰🦖 Sports Day: Our KS team loves a chance to rock Chief’s gear! 🏈 Hat Day: From handmade to cow, all heads were dressed in STYLE. 🤠🐮 Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this week great. I started out in the field of ABA as an RBT, and quickly fell in love with watching clients grow and succeed and knew that I needed to continue to learn all about the science behind it. My favorite part about working for Willow is being able to function as a mentor to staff, while also fostering an environment where we prioritize client success (and find a reason to celebrate everyday)! As a Clinical Director, I could not do what I do day in and out if it were not for the amazing team of RBT’s I have by my side. Outside of work I love spending time with my dog, Boone, or exploring new places!”   From the Willow team…   “Katie is an insanely hard worker! She always rolls with the punches. She has a great attitude and she makes me laugh every time I get to talk with her. It is obvious that she cares about the clients so much. EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT!⭐️ This month we are celebrating an amazing RBT turned BCBA from our Littleton clinic, Mikaela! Get to know Mikaela…"I graduated from Arizona State University with my Masters in Special Education with a focus in ABA. When I finished my masters, I joined the Willow Team and was able to finish my BCBA supervision hours with the most joyful and diverse group of clients that ranged in age, skills sets, and methods of learning. I had incredible mentors and supervising BCBAs to guide me through every step of the process whether it was studying or working directly with a client. One memory I will always cherish at Willow is getting to tell my team I passed my BCBA exam and the entire clinic erupted with excitement. Now, everyday I get to watch clients flourish alongside the most kind-hearted staff and enjoy my other passions of paddle boarding, reading, and golf. I'm truly grateful to have the opportunity to continue to grow and make an impact on our clients' lives." From her Littleton team… There literally are not words to describe the value she has brought to the team in every position she has held with us. Mikaela is truly one of the hardest working people I have ever been around. She is fully committed to providing the highest level of quality support to all of the staff and clients at Willow. Her creativity and energy is truly bottomless and uplifts everyone around her. Ever since she started here she has just jumped right into every task and mastered everything with ease.
