It was a pleasure being at WiM 2024 Thank you to all who engaged with us at #WiM2024. Together, we're shaping a more flexible and inclusive future for manufacturing!
What an incredible few days at the Women in Manufacturing (#WiM) 2024 Summit in Boston this week! #WiM2024 This event/org holds a special place in my heart, bringing me full circle to why I started Wilya in the first place. A few years ago, I read a news story about millions of women wanting to leave the workforce due to a lack of flexibility. Ten days later, I quit my job to start Wilya. At WiM Boston, I had the honor of moderating a panel on "Flexibility for Frontline Workers: A Skills-Based Approach" with some brilliant minds: Sara Golden from Volvo, Marla DeFrank and Susan Wallace from Carlisle Companies. We dove deep into the challenges and opportunities of creating flexible work options in our industry. Thanks again Susan for seeding this idea! To all the amazing leaders I met - you're not just shaping the future of the industry, you're the reason Wilya exists. It's exciting and humbling to be on this journey with you. Sara Golden, Marla DeFrank , Susan Wallace - thank you for bringing your expertise and insights to our panel. You rock! PS: a special shoutout to Liz Palmer - learnt so much from your session - and thank you for inspiring us to think much broadly about flexible scheduling!
