📜 The Joint Code of Practice (#JCoP) for Escape of Water Prevention and Management on Construction is setting higher expectations for #WaterManagement across UK jobsites. With water damage increasingly impacting costs and project timelines, The Fire Protection Association's JCoP encourages companies to adopt proactive water risk management strategies, creating Mandatory Water Systems Management Plans (WSMP) to better protect their projects. "WINT - Water Intelligence is supporting this industry shift by offering solutions that help contractors monitor, detect, and prevent leaks and damage in real-time. To promote JCoP #compliance, WINT is providing UK customers a £200,000 Performance Warranty on its technology, backed by HSB - Hartford Steam Boiler (a Munich Re company), on WINT-protected site. As firms adjust to JCoP, we will offer this warranty at no additional cost to all UK-based projects that purchase a gold-level solution until the end of 2025." 🗞️ Read the full Press Release to learn how #WINT’s AI-powered solutions can help meet JCoP’s standards and safeguard your projects » https://lnkd.in/gwk_vkEj

As buildings consume more than 15% of global fresh water each year, it is incumbent on the industry to ensure water efficiency is a key feature of our assets. Most green building ratings systems and frameworks look to tackle water consumption, efficiency and innovation as a key performance metric, leaving substantial opportunity for good water practices to improve a building's green rating performance. In this article, our Director of ESG & Sustainability Rebecca Jinks and Program Manager Dwayne Kaan provide a green building rating and framework assessment, and consider how thoughtful water management, consumption and control can contribute to improving many global green building ratings. #ESG & #WaterManagement: Why More Robust Regulation Should Be Welcomed? 🌍 "The ‘E’ of ESG is coming under particular scrutiny. Together with Net-Zero programs to reduce the global carbon footprint by 2050, water savings and reduction in its associated carbon emissions becomes mission critical for every organisation. While a focus on business sustainability is welcome, ESG reporting can be inaccurate and misleading, with many organisations approaching it only from a reputational point of view rather than one that is tangible and results-focused..." It's been a week since we returned from Munich, and it's a good time to recap the fair from a different perspective. This year, in addition to business meetings which are the cornerstone of this event, I decided to take advantage of the knowledge & innovation platform that EXPO REAL (Messe München) offers to its visitors. And it was an absolute hit 🎯. With this post, I wish to share my insights from the AI Guided Tour (#TransformAndBeyond), in which I had the pleasure of participating. In a nutshell, it was an organized tour throughout the booths of exhibitors offering innovative AI-fuelled PropTech solutions. 📌 Below is a brief presentation of the three exhibitors that most impressed me. As far as I know, none of them is (yet) present in Poland, although the world of new technologies knows no borders. 🔔 WINT - Water Intelligence – which indeed stands for water intelligence, is a commercial leak detection system. Unlike traditional systems, WINT uses AI and real-time data analysis to identify water consumption anomalies or leaks allowing faster shut-off and therefore even more efficient damage control. What is also interesting is that the producer declares its product can be seamlessly integrated with the existing plumbing and monitoring system in commercial or industrial facilities. 🔔 syte is a German startup that developed AI combined platform to optimize building stock analysis for construction and energy potential. Among various offered solutions, the one that caught my eye was the ability to intelligently search for plots matching specific profiles in terms of gross floor area, gross area ratio, gross floor area, type of use, and additionally recognize potential for extension, conversion, and densification. What also sounds interesting is one one-button search for the photovoltaic potential of buildings (rooftops). It is worth mentioning that Syte recently secured 5 million euros in the seed round led by Schwarz Gruppe (owner of Lidl and Kaufland). 🔔 synavision GmbH. Nowadays “smart” and “office building” is a new power couple. Synavision is an AI-guided software providing a complete overview of the operating efficiency of a building’s technologies to provide optimization schemes. The software is based on the original “digital test bench” commercialized as able to run big data processes. One of the offered measurements is the “Comfort – Test – Bench” testing such criteria as light, acoustics, air quality, and working environment (including working place typology). Notably, Synavision boasts its cooperation with the Munich Airport. 💡 Do you think such solutions would work in our real estate market? I would be delighted to know your thoughts in the comments section.

"As the world transitions to clean energy and harnesses the benefits of AI, the water resources crucial to this shift are often overlooked. It is paramount to address this intersection and implement strategies that advance a sustainable path towards a low-carbon and AI-enhanced future." A recent report from The Global Commission on the Economics of Water is a strong reminder that #water isn’t only an environmental issue—it’s an economic one. At WINT - Water Intelligence, we use AI-driven solutions to reduce water waste, lower costs, and support a sustainable water economy. By using AI to optimize water management, companies can contribute to a more sustainable future while improving operational efficiency and damage prevention. 📘 Read the full report to learn more about the economic impact of water management: https://lnkd.in/eczsJEpF
