Sustainably managed forests in Wisconsin provide essential raw materials for more than 1,200 wood product companies and 280 logging businesses. The forest industry generates over $24 billion annually, supporting more than 123,000 jobs and contributing $38 billion to the state’s economy. Wisconsin’s forests aren’t just an economic powerhouse but also a climate solution! When sustainably harvested wood is used in long-lived products such as lumber, furniture, windows and doors, it stores carbon throughout its life, only releasing it back into the atmosphere when it decays. Learn more about the vital role of forests and how they touch our lives every day on our website: https://lnkd.in/d4EW9fFp Join us in celebrating Wisconsin’s forests, the products they provide and the people who help them thrive!
