Non-profit Organizations

A community of hope and housing.

About us

For more than 90 years, WISEPlace has served more than 8,500 women by pairing housing solutions with wrap around services like counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance. At WISEPlace, we serve unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness who often lack the support system of a spouse, significant other, or children. The stats are startling: 1 in every 3 homeless adults in the U.S. is an unaccompanied woman (a population that is severely underserved and overlooked nationally), but WISEPlace is where they can get the help and support to rebuild their lives. The heart of what we do is provide a community of hope and housing where participants are supported with vital wrap-around services on their journey from homelessness to personal self-reliance. A donation of any amount will support WISEPlace and our participants. Interested in donating? See some ways your funds make a real impact on the lives of the women at WISEPlace by visiting: www.wiseplace.org/donate-now. As an unaccompanied woman experiencing homelessness, we are here for you. If you are in need of assistance, please email info@wiseplace.org or call (714) 542-3577.

September is Suicide Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness and discuss this highly stigmatized topic. Let’s create spaces where people can prioritize their mental health, where their voices are heard, where support thrives and flows freely, and where healing can take root. At WISEPlace, we recognize the significance of mental health and how it impacts all areas of life. This is always an integral part of The WISEPlace Way. If you or someone you know has thoughts of suicide, immediate help is available. Call, text, or chat 988 to speak to a trained crisis counselor offering support 24/7/365. #SuicidePreventionMonth #Bethe1To

Hear from an actual #WISEPlace Graduate. Meet Diana, who was 70 years old when she first experienced homelessness. She fled an unsafe family situation and resorted to sleeping in her car alone night after night. Without a job, support system, or a home, Diana was scared and unsure where to turn for help. Unfortunately, Diana's story is not unique. Half of those experiencing homelessness in Orange County are over 50 years old. Thankfully, Diana came to WISEPlace. With a safe place to sleep, healthy meals, and supportive services, she could focus on getting back on her feet again. “Before I came to WISEPlace, I was at the lowest point in my life. WISEPlace gave me so much more than a safe place to sleep. They helped me find a new apartment, search for a new job, and most importantly, gave me the support system and confidence I needed to get back on my feet again.” Read her story of hope >> https://lnkd.in/gfWUqdDv
