Hear from an actual #WISEPlace Graduate. Meet Diana, who was 70 years old when she first experienced homelessness. She fled an unsafe family situation and resorted to sleeping in her car alone night after night. Without a job, support system, or a home, Diana was scared and unsure where to turn for help. Unfortunately, Diana's story is not unique. Half of those experiencing homelessness in Orange County are over 50 years old. Thankfully, Diana came to WISEPlace. With a safe place to sleep, healthy meals, and supportive services, she could focus on getting back on her feet again. “Before I came to WISEPlace, I was at the lowest point in my life. WISEPlace gave me so much more than a safe place to sleep.
