Great to see the first driver at our customer site in Green Cove Springs, FL pre-checked into the facility with no training required (first pic below). No more waiting at the gate and they received instructions on where to go next through our messaging solution! I would put check-in operations into three primary groups: 1. No guard shack - Drivers go into shipping/receiving with paperwork and to receive instructions. 2. Guard shack - Drivers get out of their truck or there is a window they pull up to 3. Remote gate - Drivers communicate with the shipping/receiving office through an intercom When customers deploy Vector's Check-In platform, they are deploying one of two solutions: 1. GiCi - Guard Initiated Check-In 2. DiCi - Driver Initiated Check-In GiCi is a great place to start for organizations that want to automate a lot of the existing guard duties and have them focus on value added services. DiCi unlocks many advancements such as driver pre-verification, broker/driver validation, and unmanned gates. If we can pre-check in 24 hours for a flight, we should offer the same opportunity to truck drivers. On discovery calls, I often get asked if drivers are really willing to adopt. Yes! There is a population of drivers that still use flip phones, picture to prove it from a recent site visit I was at, and an exception workflow always exists but once drivers see the immediate benefits of not having to wait for a long time, the concern often disappears.
