As we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth in the UK this October, the 2024 theme, "Reclaiming Narratives," reminds us of the power of owning our stories. This month, we focus on: - Correcting historical inaccuracies and highlighting the invaluable contributions of Black Britons. - Empowering Black voices to take an active role in shaping how their history is told. - Challenging stereotypes to present a more complete and authentic picture of Black experiences. Let's honor the past by amplifying the stories that deserve to be heard. #BlackHistoryUK #ReclaimingNarratives #BlackVoices

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month Diane Gomez-Thinnes!
This morning, I had a unique experience stepping away from my work to celebrate Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month at my children's school. As a proud Latina, educating others about Latino contributions, especially in healthcare, has been a passion of mine for years. Today, seeing my children carry on this tradition fills me with pride! Using The Hispanic Star's children's toolkit was invaluable in preparing for our presentation. We delved into trivia, highlighted notable figures like Roberto Clemente, Selena Gomez, and Justice Sotomayor, and capped it off with an energetic folkloric dance performance. #ProudMama #HispanicHeritageMonth Let's continue to celebrate and educate during Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month! 🌟🎉 #Inclusion
