As the education field evolves - embracing new technologies, considering additional policies, and introducing advances in measurement - product innovation is evolving with it. The skills needed to effectively innovate research-based and evidence- backed learning and assessment solutions cross entrepreneurship, product management, research, and psychometrics. In this session, Ida M. Lawrence will lead a dynamic conversation among three experts who have successfully brought these skills together to develop impactful solutions. While their perspectives are diverse, ranging from inclusive R&D to scaled commercialization, they have advanced and evolved to meet the needs of the dynamic field we’re all navigating.   Topics of conversation will include:   - An overview of each of their roles, and how they have observed new product development in the field of measurement evolving during their careers. - A deep dive into the different skills leaders need to drive product innovation and how they developed some of these “non-traditional” skills - like innovative thinking and entrepreneurship that may not have been part of their formal training. - A thoughtful discussion on the importance of new product innovation in measurement being grounded in equity and how each of these experts approaches that work. - The conversation will conclude with a speed round of the advice these experts would offer individuals in the measurement field who might be interested in applying their skills to innovate the next great measurement product and then wrap with a Q&A from the audience.
