Wrapping up an amazing first #SFTechWeek, here are a few more highlights: 1️⃣ Rediscovering SF With events all over the city, I explored San Francisco in new ways—even as a local! The logistics were challenging, but the opportunity to uncover new hidden gems made it all worthwhile. 2️⃣ Generative AI Everywhere AI is reshaping industries like healthcare, finance, and construction. While its potential is impressive, I did notice some overuse of AI in places where it didn’t quite fit, but the real-world applications in robotics stood out. 3️⃣ Diversity and Inclusion While tech is still male-dominated, it was empowering to see women and LGBTQ+ communities leading events. The Female Founders and Funders by Aravinda Seshadri (she/her), Out at Tech Week by Renée Rosillo, and The Future Of Women's Health by Dasha Shunina - among others- stood out for fostering inclusive spaces and pushing for equity in the industry. Seeing so many diverse voices in action was truly empowering! 4️⃣ Latinx Representation As a Latina, it was amazing to connect with so many Spanish-speaking founders and investors. I recently had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at Dasha Shunina Women Tech Meetup event hosted at Werqwise! It was an inspiring experience speaking with founders and managers of dedicated funds for women’s health. A quote that stuck with me was: “The only thing society seems to care about women’s health is when we are on our periods, pregnant, or in menopause.” This statement captured the gaps in our healthcare system’s attention to women’s health beyond those milestones. I also had the pleasure of connecting with Nikita Bansal, an MIT grad and founder of Hormone Insight, a startup focused on empowering women to manage their hormonal health in a simple, accessible way. 👩⚕️📝💊 A huge thank you to Dasha Shunina for organizing such impactful Women in Tech events, and I look forward to contributing more to initiatives that create lasting social impact! A thank you to Sofia Alicia Perez for always being my partner in exploring our professional interests.

What a great event tonight at Dasha Shunina’s Women Tech Meetup on the future of women’s health! I learned so much about the amazing potential for technology to empower women to take actionable steps based on their health data. In addition, I met some inspiring leaders in the space, creating some incredible hardware and software solutions- Adelina Oronova, Ph.D. , Alexandra Faure and Nikita Bansal to name a few. I am truly grateful for everyone who gave me their time and support, and for Van Anh Nguyen and Stephanie Gao for joining me this evening. I can’t wait to see what Dasha Shunina has planned for Women’s Tech Meetup next!

Tonight I attended an inspiring panel discussion during SF #TechWeek on The Future of Women’s Health: Opportunities & Challenges. 🙌 It was so reassuring and inspiring to hear from industry leaders driving innovation in women’s health. Here are a few key takeaways: • Dorothy Kilroy (she/her) CCO at ŌURA: Oura started with a male focus over 10 years ago in Finland but has since transitioned to serving a majority of women, especially those under 25. It’s amazing to see how the next generation embraces technology to better understand their health. Women's bodies are incredible, and we, as women, are the CEOs of our own bodies! • Alice Zheng, Partner at Foreground Capital: There’s growing energy and momentum in women’s health from a VC perspective! We’re living in exciting times, and it’s worth celebrating the VC sector's progress, especially compared to five years ago. • Sylvia Kang, CEO at Mira: her journey as a founder began when “women’s health” wasn’t even considered a sector. She’s seen so many changes in the industry but highlighted that resilience and finding the right path are key. We’re still early in closing the data gap in women’s health, and more needs to be done. The need for male allies in the space is also critical! • Laura Mason, Growth Investor at Composition Capital: Advancing the women’s health industry requires a collective effort. It truly takes a village to accelerate progress! However, it’s a positive sign that growth investors are now looking at the women’s health sector! • Tara Viswanathan, CEO at Rupa Health: It’s essential to study the industry and think about the right capital and timelines to create sustainable models for innovation. AI has the potential to disrupt the women’s health industry and must be a leverage for the founders!
