Congratulations to our Corporate Engagement Director Heidi Melton on receiving the Emerging Leader Award from the Indiana Manufacturers Association in recognition of her strides revolutionizing manufacturing processes and driving community engagement.
Honored and Grateful I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been selected as the recipient of the - - - EMERGING LEADER AWARD by the Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA)! 🎉 To say I was speechless when I received the news would be an understatement. This award holds so much significance for me, especially coming from the IMA, the longest-standing manufacturing association in Indiana, now celebrating its 122nd year. The IMA has always been a pillar in advancing advocacy, innovation, and community development in manufacturing, and their annual Hall of Fame event is a testament to their commitment. This moment wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of my mentor, Kathy Miller, MAPP, MBA, ACC, President and Cofounder of OPSisters. Kathy’s nomination and the heartfelt letters of recommendation truly brought me here. To my mentors—Jasmin N. French ,Glenn Keller, MA, CGEIT, CPIM , Joy Neely —and the Women & Hi Tech board, your belief in me continues to be my guiding force. I also owe a huge thanks to my employer for trusting me to bring my strengths to the table every day. And a special shoutout to my life partner, mentor, and best friend, Dustin Lyons—without your unwavering support and wisdom, I wouldn’t be here. You’ve been my rock through every challenge and success. For everyone joining me on *October 16th* at the IMA Hall of Fame Luncheon—thank you for taking the time to be there. Your presence means the world to me! This award represents so much more than just personal achievement—it’s a reminder that no matter where you start (even from a small rural town!), with hard work, passion, and the right people by your side, you can achieve extraordinary things. Thank you, IMA, and Chris Wallis for this humbling recognition. I am honored to be part of this amazing community, and I look forward to continuing to serve and support Indiana’s manufacturing sector. #EmergingLeader #Leadership #Manufacturing #Innovation #IndianaManufacturing #WomenInManufacturing #IMA #CommunityDevelopment #ManufacturingMonth
