The Meta Oversight Board has proposed a review of Facebook’s policies on “misgendering” and “hate speech,” apparently poised to ban “misgendering” across Meta’s platforms. The case centers around two videos on men in women’s spaces. According to Independent Women’s Forum, which appears to have been targeted by the proposed ban, the first video was a woman expressing discomfort with a trans-identifying male in a women's bathroom. The other features a male winning a women's athletic competition. If the Oversight Board decides to ban these videos, this will mean that correctly stating the sex of trans-identifying males and disapproving of males in women's spaces qualify as “Bullying and Harassment.” Take Action! "It's not an illness, because you cannot 'feel' like female or male without making a conscience decision that genders are personalities, characters, hobbies, styles and feelings. That alone is sexism by choice." #SexNotGender Read more on Letters from the Front: https://lnkd.in/gPnN7we4

"A lot of these girls have already been sexually abused. However, that issue is never dealt with because the therapy now for gender dysphoria is gender-affirming care, which means automatic hormones and surgery..." #HelpNotHarm #SexNotGender Read more in WoLF's Letters to the Front — and submit your own story: https://lnkd.in/grWaTgtw

Cathleen Quinn is a woman in custody at the California Correctional Women’s Facility (CCWF). Like the overwhelming majority of incarcerated women, her involvement in the justice system is a direct result of her experience with trauma and male violence. Now, she is forced to live with abusive men from whom she can not escape. She’s experienced harassment, and retaliation from the prison for reporting them. WoLF is suing California on behalf of Cathleen and five other incarcerated women to GET MEN OUT. Read Cathleen's story: https://lnkd.in/gBReEbMy

A new video by Independent Women’s Forum shares Tomiekia’s story of being forced to live with men in prison. The video is part of their ‘Cruel and Unusual Punishment’ series, which focuses on the harms of men being housed in women’s prisons based on their claimed “gender identity.” The series has also highlighted the experiences of former prisoners and law enforcement officers who have directly seen the harm of these policies. WoLF fought to prevent this law from going into effect as soon as it was introduced. When it passed, we filed a lawsuit on behalf of four incarcerated women, including Tomiekia, challenging SB 132. We asked the court to overturn this law and declare it unconstitutional. Read more about Tomiekia's story and the fight to GET MEN OUT of women's prisons: https://lnkd.in/gJSG8-2Q
