Helen Bell, Wood River Health's Director of Dental Operations, was awarded a 2024 Rhode Island Community Health Center Beacon Award earlier this month by the Rhode Island Health Care Association. Helen was nominated for this award due to her deep understanding of the unique importance of community health centers and the communities we serve. Dr. Tiffani Waldeck and Helen Bell of Wood River Health's Dental Clinic presented their dental and diabetes integration project at yesterday's  Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS 3rd Annual Patient Centered Medical Home Health Equity Technical Assistance Symposium. Integration in health centers helps to build that critical bridge between oral health and overall health.
