Building an equitable compensation model requires more than just numbers—it starts with understanding your team’s needs. Gather data, analyze your current pay structure, and develop salary bands that align with your values. Don’t forget: Clear communication and ongoing evaluation are crucial for success.

We work to create awareness around and support for differing abilities, neurodiversity, and the way they intersect with both our work and the work of our clients. We strive to never leave our community behind, instead working to create opportunities for participation for folks of varying abilities by providing resources, tools, support, and information as expansively as possible. We believe that social justice work should never be gate-kept by academic or educational requirements, a need for livable wages & benefits, access to tools and physical spaces, or ableist ideas regarding productivity and worth.

Why would we let something inhuman make decisions that impact our humanity? HR policies are not one-size-fits-all; when you let a robot write your policies you settle for standard, outdated boilerplate advice instead of progressive, people-focused perspective, haven't considered your organization's structure, values, or employee needs, don't have a process to train your managers on policy implementation, and don't even know if the policies are compliant. Let a human do human resources.

Sometimes we are asked if it is beneficial to do a compensation study, even when you probably don’t have room in the budget to increase salaries. Even when budgets are tight, a compensation analysis can make a big impact by ensuring fairness, offering non-monetary perks, and identifying areas for fundraising and expansion. It’s all about transparency and planning for the future.

DEI Advocate: Empowering Organizations through Education and Inclusion \\ Information Equality Champion: Harnessing Technology for All
I've been meaning to write about the recently closure of reprojobs.org (at the end of July). It felt like we lost a major source of information, support, and yes, job opportunities geared at a specific community. I understand that folks need to sunset projects, things can't always go on forever, but I was upset that the project wasn't passed on to a new "generation." I would have happily worked to keep that resource going. However, I was THRILLED to see an email this morning from Work In Progress Consulting about the new Repro 4 Repro (https://lnkd.in/eN9fg4MR /repro4repro.com) site. It seems that they are making an effort to carry on the mantel, close this gap in information, and likely will build on the model previously established. For those of you currently in the reproductive justice realm (sex and sexuality ed, maternal health and support, abortion funding and provision, and any other intersecting field) how have you been surviving without ReproJobs? How are you feeling about this new source of support from Repro4Repro? #reproductivejustice #socialjustice #hiring #career
