Community Reinvestment in Action: The WorkForce Central team is celebrating with another small business grant recipient, Luis Legaspi with Break Through LLC, who used his grant to purchase an Industrial Air Compressor. As a direct result of this new equipment, they will be able to hire three additional employees. One is already hired, and they are in the process of hiring two more. Community Reinvestment in Action: Tacoma small business owner Jahmad Canley (He, Him, His) is already seeing huge savings as well as increased efficiency and promotion after receiving a Small Business Grant from WorkForce Central to purchase new equipment, including a printer and camera. His company, Potential Unleashed Consulting, previously outsourced printing needs with an average of 3,000 colored pages monthly. WorkForce Central was able to purchase them a printer and a camera, which they are using to film workshops, keynotes, and social media content to promote their work and create high-quality training videos. “This equipment has already been a game changer for us and with these new additions, we are going to keep on climbing,” Jahmad said. “We have already saved thousands in printing costs and created several new videos.” Thank you to the Washington State Department of Commerce for your partnership in supporting Black, Latine, and Native American owned small businesses. #localworkforceworks
