Use data to make our communities better | Remove barriers to make data-driven decisions

I'm honored to be appointed to the DuPage County Workforce Innovation Board (WIB). I had the privilege of attending my first board meeting today. I came away excited about the opportunity to help grow the local workforce, and to develop workforce resources for companies like ours. The WIB is a part of workNet DuPage - a resource center for job seekers. This is a federally funded program to provide career services at no charge. Check out their website if you're a job seeker. This is one way I'm living out our company's purpose: Use data to make our communities better. https://lnkd.in/g2k2YqpV

A proven leader with combined experience in Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement

There are rarely any benefits of being unemployed. However, to those of you who are currently in transition, understand that some of the time off could be used to help build up your resume and experience with free training. For those of you who live in the Dupage County area, there is workNet DuPage. They will help fund your college or certifications that you need to succeed: I was one of those people that joined the workforce early on without going to college. Through natural advancement, I was able to go from a temp to mid-level management. I was employed at one of the largest printers in the world for many years, and knew I would retire there, until the unforeseeable happened. This workforce reduction move put me out into the market with only my decade and a half experience and at an elevated pay scale. Trying to get the same position without a college degree was a challenge. I reached out to Worknet DuPage, looking for resources to help in my job search, when I discovered the benefit of this organization funding training and educating displaced workers. Making a longer story shorter, Worknet Dupage paid for my Associates Degree in Business Management with certification in Human Resource Management, along with vouchers for all text books. Now my 30+ years of management experience has the documentation to prove my formal training. Check them out @
