🎯In a recent Business Post report on #Engineering, Gillian Ryan of the National Apprenticeship Office's Stakeholder and Engagement Team shares how the 'Action Plan for Apprenticeship 2021-2025' reacts to industry needs and creates #GenerationApprenticeship programmes where #skills are needed most. “We currently offer 19 engineering apprenticeships, which range from #CivilEngineering to #Mechanical to #Manufacturing", Gillian said, commenting on the NAO's expansive programme offering across a diverse and dynamic engineering sector. "We have four more in development, including #CivilEngineering at level 8 and level 9, #PrecisionMachinist Quality Control, and #Robotics and #Automation – ranging from level 6 to level 8”, among other diverse apprenticeship offerings with the OEM Engineering Apprenticeship and green-focused #WindTurbineMaintenanceTechnician apprenticeship at Kerry College. ⚙️With engineering skills so vital in tackling some of Ireland's most urgent societal issues, such as climate change and housing, current apprenticeship programmes are clearly focused on specific skills training that tackle these issues. There is also a strong push to drive #GenderBalance across the national apprenticeship programme offering, encouraging more women to #upskill or #reskill with apprenticeship, and contribute their knowledge and skills to #Engineering and #GreenSkills industries. ➡️Learn more insight on the future of #Engineering and National Apprenticeship Office plans for 2025: https://lnkd.in/eVWZUfPG
