Megha Gupta, Vice President in Portfolio Management, recently attended the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit — a four-day event centered around connection and learning in Cincinnati, Ohio. Last year, Megha earned a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List for finance.

Our London office hosted a workshop for 80 students from France's EDHEC Business School's Financial Engineering program. The event featured a WorldQuant presentation and Q&A session, where we discussed research, machine learning and more. The students also participated in a hands-on BRAIN workshop, working in teams on creating signals on the simulation platform before presenting their results to the group. WorldQuant BRAIN partnered with top universities, including Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Princeton University, UCLA and University of Pennsylvania, to kick off our BRAIN Alphathons, a competition aimed at discovering the next generation of quant finance talent. Students from engineering, math, computer science and finance came together to explore the world of quantitative finance by building and testing signals using large datasets on the BRAIN platform. WorldQuant BRAIN Consultant Abhishek Chaudhary shares how he learned about BRAIN and what he likes about the Consultant Program. We are currently running our ATOM Competition, where BRAIN Consultants can create USA and GLOBAL Region, Delay 1 and Single Dataset signals. Top performers are eligible for additional one-time stipends from a total pool of up to $50k!

In addition to cash prizes, this year’s International Quant Championship offered various career-launching opportunities to an elite few. Out of 37,092 participants, 1,952 consultant offers were made, potentially placing the top 5% in consulting positions. Additionally, 12 employment opportunities (internships or full-time roles) were offered to the Stage 3 finalists, representing just 0.06% of participants. Since the competition’s inception, more than 60 participants have been hired, highlighting our focus on skills-based hiring and professional growth.

The event brought together industry leaders and emerging talent to explore machine learning, data and new technologies. At the WorldQuant booth, we connected with attendees through engaging activities and shared insights about the firm.
