Leo Calva started teaching an online class at Rio Grande Bible College about the Pauline epistles at the Master level. "I have seven students: Two Venezuelan, two Nicaraguan, two Mexican, and one Chilean. This online class aligns with our purpose of influencing the Latin world with the Gospel. Also, in McMinnville, the class on preaching from the narrative with the seven students has been great; there is a saying that no one enjoys the sermon more than the preacher. It is a reality; when a preacher or teacher prepares the class, the joy of embedding oneself in the Word of God produces great pleasure. We thank all who, along the way of our travels, have hosted us, taken us out to eat, and encouraged us as we share our story of ministry and family." Read more 👇❤️📷 "In May, I was invited by WorldOregon to speak at their International Visitor Leadership Program about my work, specifically about the prevention of sex trafficking and the Girl Empowerment Curriculum. I spoke to a delegation of four experts from Thailand who work on the issue of sex trafficking and trafficking in persons. It was a privilege to meet with Sopana Boon-Long, Director of the Command Center on Prevention of Labor Trafficking; Nattakarn Noree, Founder and Manager of the SPRING Project; Samar Thapthani, Chief of Rights Protection for the Human Trafficking Prevention and Education Promotion Division of the Labor Protection Network; and Major Datewut Uttarasart, Detective and Inspector for the Crimes Suppression Division of the Royal Thai Police. We had a lively conversation, and two delegates were interested in my Girl Empowerment Curriculum. Later, my contact at the International Visitor Program of Portland wrote to me to say, 'Thank you so much for taking the time yesterday afternoon to meet with the delegation representing Thailand. It was a great way to end their three-week trip to the U.S. focused on Combating Human Trafficking. They enjoyed the opportunity to learn from you and appreciated you sharing your research and insights with them.
