Happy #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth! In recognition of the many contributions that Hispanic and Latin Americans make to the workforce and beyond, we recently launched our newest employee resource group (ERG): Hispanic Origin and Latin American (HOLA). HOLA’s mission is to create a supportive and inclusive space that celebrates the diverse Hispanic Origin and Latin American cultures within Worthington Steel. Ismar Leal, inside sales representative, said, "I truly believe that Latino/Hispanic communities have strong values to contribute, such as a hard work ethic and a sense of community and family that matches the Philosophy and values of Worthington Steel.”

We wouldn't be able to Drive Steel Forward without our truckers! During this National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we honor our dedicated drivers for their hard work in making sure our facilities and customers have the products and supplies they need. We showed our appreciation throughout the week with lunch, breakfast and other gifts at some of our steel facility locations. Thank you for all you do! #NationalTruckDriverAppreciationWeek #DrivingSteelForward

Happy #NationalWorkingParentsDay! Today we celebrate the working parents and caregivers at Worthington Steel who contribute so much to our company while caring for their families. Our CARE employee resource group aims to create a culture where the voices of our working parents and caregivers are amplified. As an example, our corporate locations recognized caregivers today with a banner, where names were added to show all the people they're supporting. We are proud to offer resources to families to ensure work life is well balanced with home life. #DrivingSteelForward

To round out our 2024 Pelotonia campaign, members of our executive team participated in our dunk tank fundraiser. Our employees had fun dunking our leaders and supporting a great cause! To date, we are excited to share that our Steel team raised $29,000 toward Pelotonia’s goal of ending cancer, exceeding our fundraising goal of $25,500. Thank you to our riders, volunteers and anyone who donated or supported our campaign. Donations can still be made to our campaign here: https://lnkd.in/gkMXhMUR. #OneGoal

After multiple repairs to an electric pump in a three-acre pond outside our Worthington Steel Delta facility, a team of employees came up with a new more efficient and cost-effective idea for aerating the pond - a windmill. The windmill, made from galvanized steel, no longer uses any electricity, saving the facility money on an electric pump in addition to being more environmentally friendly. From small incremental changes like this one to large-scale projects, read more about how we're driving progress through sustainability on our website: https://lnkd.in/g8DbYKGq
